Prof. Chris Bosse
Co-Founder of LAVA Architects, Sydney (Australia)
Educated in Germany and Switzerland, he worked with several European architects before moving to Sydney. Whilst Associate Architect at PTW Architects Bosse was a key designer of the Beijing Olympics Watercube, winner of Atmosphere Award at the 9th Venice Architecture Biennale. He was recognised as an emerging architect by RIBA London in 2008.

His work sits at the intersections of contemporary social and political theory, computational media & infrastructure, and architectural & urban design problems and methodologies.

In the dot.com era he worked as a distinguished engineer for the Swedish Internet company “framfab”, at this time the world-leading internet provider. As one of the leading Austrian experts in media, communication design and new media- and marketing strategies he further is advisor and enabler of some European start-up companies and co-organizer with Rupert Schaefer and Ola Ahlvarsson of the SIME VIENNA Conference, that successfully launched in April 2011. As a Project Leader for several prize and award-winning projects, Jakob has been instrumental in several of BIG’s largest commissions. He has led design and development of The Mountain and most recently served as the Project Leader for the new Tallinn Town Hall in Estonia, which will be completed in 2014. In addition to his skills as a Design Architect, Jakob has led website designs for PLOT & BIG, which were nominated for a Cyber Lion at the 2004 Cannes Advertising Festival. Jakob has also designed the websites and sales material for both the Mountain and VM Houses.

Tobias Mayer
He is responsible for advanced design projects aside current aircraft programs. Tobias creates future cabin design concepts for potential next-generation aircrafts where he transforms sociological, economical and technological trends and scenarios into tangible visions. Furthermore he acts as the interface between R&T projects and the design department. He supports the idea generation team and takes care of student-projects.

Recent publications include: Images. "A Picturebook of Architecture", "The Challenge of Suburbia" and "R&Sie/François Roche: Spoiled Climate".
